The Kiwi room caters for children aged 3 months to 2 years old. It can be found inside the Tui room. We have a staff/child ratio of 1:4 for under 2 year olds. We can take up to 6 children under 2 years old.

Our Kiwi and Tui team strives to provide a home away from home feeling, for you and your child, so that when you leave the centre you are secure in the knowledge that your child is nurtured, happy and safe, which is why, here in the Kiwi room, your child will have one main primary caregiver. Our goal is for your child to form a secure attachment with a primary caregiver who will be responsible for their overall wellbeing.

We will keep daily records for each child aged under two. This shows sleep times, food eaten, and bottles given, etc. There is also space provided for any relevant information from the parents for that day regarding their sleep, breakfast, that morning’s behaviour etc.

We know how important it is for children’s wellbeing to be in a centre with small group sizes and so we are immensely proud of our small group size maximum of 6 children in our infant’s space. Near the age of 2, or if they are ready beforehand, your child will start the transition into the Tui room.

The Tui room caters for children from two to three years. We have a staff/child ratio of 1:6 for over 2 year olds. Our Tui Room is a busy active place full of two to three year olds. They engage in a variety of activities with the teachers involving creative play, music and movement, arts and crafts, play dough, water and bubbles, mat times, small group activities and two to three outside times during the day. As you can imagine a great many of the two year olds are toilet training so our room is especially geared towards this aspect of their development.
